This month’s movie is Annie:  come see it on the big screen!  Annie is a young, happy foster kid who’s also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back for her someday, it’s been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan. But everything’s about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in.

Everyone is invited.  Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  Limited seating, first-come, first-served.  Doors open at 6:00.

Main Library TV Show Survey — Cast your vote!

TV shows are a popular part our collection — if only we had an unlimited budget and unlimited space!  We need your help to make the best use of both.  Each month, the Art, Music & Media department will conduct a survey to see what TV show you’re most interested in seeing added to the Main Library’s collection.  The survey will feature current patron requests and the TV show with the most votes will be added to the Main Library’s collection.  Click here for the link to the current month’s survey.  Be sure to include your library card number on the survey.  Patron responses that do not include a valid library card number, or those with more than one response, will be removed from the results of the survey.  Make your vote count!

We also encourage you to sign up for our New DVDs newsletter.  This monthly newsletter highlights new 3-day loan movies and TV shows at the Main Library.  Enter your email address at the bottom of this page to receive our New DVDs newsletter in your email inbox.  Don’t have email?  You can also bookmark this page, make it a favorite, or find it on the Art, Music & Media page.  Just remember to check it after the 13th each month to find out about the latest arrivals.

The current TV show survey will close April 30, 2015.
